If you’re looking for a great long-term way to whiten your teeth or fix chipped teeth or damaged enamel, then porcelain veneers might be for you.
What are Veneers?
Veneers are a cosmetic treatment that fixes small aesthetic dental issues that do not require orthodontic treatment. They are essentially a porcelain or plastic cap that is fitted over your tooth, covering some or all of the front of your tooth, masking any chips, stains, gaps or crookedness.
From our state-of-the-art dental clinic in Lalor, we provide complete dental veneer treatments.
Process Of Getting Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers generally take two visits to complete, as well as an initial consultation where a veneer design is created. Once the design is approved, the veneers are prepared and fixed to your teeth. Before bonding them to your teeth, some enamel may need to be removed to ensure a tight fit. Once the veneers are fitted, we will provide instructions on maintenance and cleaning. However, they are designed to be a long-term dental solution, so not much maintenance is required other than regular cleaning of your teeth.
Benefits & Affordability Of Composite Veneers
Composite veneers are made of a composite plastic material. They are a cheaper option than porcelain and will wear down gradually over time and are more likely to get discolored. The process is much the same as preparing and fitting porcelain veneers, although less tooth enamel needs to be removed when fitting composite veneers.
Dr Daniel has extensive experience creating and fitting both porcelain and composite veneers. He will always take to time to work with you to determine if dental veneers are right for you.
