Digital smile design or DSD is a planning tool used in cosmetic dentistry which enables our dentist Lalor to put together an individually tailored cosmetic dental treatment plan, where you and our dentist can see an accurate prediction of the outcome before you commit to any treatment. We understand that undergoing cosmetic dentistry is a big decision to make. For many it can also be a significant financial commitment and the results are often permanent, therefore it is important that you are aware of what the end result will look like before you decide to go ahead with the treatment. Thanks to advances in dental technology there are a range of cosmetic dental treatments and procedures available, so we want you to make an informed decision and achieve the smile you really desire.
Who needs DSD?
If you have healthy teeth and gums and you are looking to improve the aesthetic appearance of your teeth then DSD with our dentist Lalor is an excellent solution for you. It is important that you have good dental health to undergo cosmetic dental treatment and we will carry out a comprehensive examination of your teeth and gums before we begin. If you are looking to correct issues that are affecting your teeth by undergoing orthodontic treatment then DSD will be able to tell you which type of braces will be most suitable for you. You may want to see how your teeth will look after undergoing teeth whitening and this is possible with DSD. You may wish to undergo a major transformation, for example a Hollywood smile makeover with a full set of veneers, then you will be able to see how this will look with DSD at Epping High Dental.
The advantages of DSD
The main advantage of undergoing DSD led cosmetic dental treatment or a smile makeover with our dentist Lalor is that we are able to plan everything before we begin the treatment and there is very little room for error. DSD helps us carry out non-invasive or minimally invasive cosmetic dental treatment by planning a digital approach of how to move your teeth and prepare your teeth. We will also be able to give you an accurate time frame of how long it will take to complete your treatment plan or smile makeover. It is an excellent tool for both dentists and patients alike. We can have some fun by looking at your pictures together and adapting them to meet your dental requirements and your personal preferences, making sure that you are happy with the way we plan to help you achieve the smile you imagine.
