What Are Dental Braces Or Orthodontic Cases?

Your dentist glues small metal or porcelain brackets to the front of your teeth. An arch wire is then passed through the brackets. This wire is gently tightened to place the appropriate amount of pressure on the teeth and jawbones. Over time, this pressure moves the teeth and jaws into the desired position.
Braces For Children & Adults
Dentist can provide braces for children and adults. However, braces are most suited to children. Since a child’s facial bones are not yet set, they can still be aligned into place.
Braces can be used to correct misaligned teeth in adults. However, because adult jawbones are set in place, braces cannot be used to align the upper and lower jaws.
